Diamond's Thesis
I agree with Diamond's thesis that The spread of agriculture and the start of civilizations where due to geographical and circumstantial luck. If the people in the fertile crescent had geographical luck because when they started agriculture they had the right weather, plants, and animals. But in New ginny where they also started farming they did not have the right animals or plants so they could not create the surplus that they need. So that not every one had to farm and people could become specialists. In the middle east they had all the right things so when they had a surplus in food they could create a much more advanced civilization. That is why i agree with diamond's thesis because geographical and circumstantial luck where what allowed civilizations to be created.
